Step away from the pace of daily life and return to what is essential. This evening program combines nature therapy, mindfulness, outdoor education, and reflective practice, informed by MBSR and Attention Restoration Theory.
Participants will enjoy a guided walk and opening circle before settling into one of Alnoba’s beautiful indoor spaces to reflect, learn, and create. Along the way, they’ll engage in hands-on experiential learning, noticing the land, art installations, and architectural features. Each session is inspired by the seasonal rhythms, encouraging reflection on change, growth, and connection. Through a teaching session and plant/place-based exploration, participants connect observations to attention, regulation, and human–environment relationships.
The evening concludes with tea, journaling, and a reflection circle, supporting integration of your experience and fostering connection with others. Each participant receives a Rooted Rose booklet to continue reflection and practice at home.
Curriculum is built to support Rooted Rose’s goal in continuing to build a bridge between past and future in the name of reciprocity and preservation- reconnecting participants with the roots of conservation and optimal health through lived experience.
You are the shedding and harvest of the Fall.
You are the stillness and silence of Winter.
You are the blooms and new life of Spring.
You are even the long nights and fire of the Summer.
You always have been and always will be.
