Domenic LaRosa

As a nature lover, devoted yogi, and inspired chef, Domenic brings a power and presence that is always welcoming, open to conversation, and comforting at the core.

Before he found yoga, he worked in construction management as a field engineer for 6 years. He found out what it takes to lead, how to communicate effectively, and the value of learning somebody's story. Now he is learning what it takes to write his own, as he tries his best to stay in line with the values that keep him rooted.

When he's not teaching or practicing yoga, you can find him crafting in his woodshop, recording (or listening) to a podcast, cooking up nourishment, or running through the trails near home. He also enjoys being able to get away with the guys he grew up with to go snowmobiling in Maine. It serves as a reminder of the simple joys that come from putting down the regular schedule for a bit, and the importance of taking time to be outside, to have fun, and break free.

Hiking has been a part of Dom’s life for many years and the mountains teach him lessons through every adventure. He has hiked the 31 mile Pemigawasset Loop in the White Mountains of New Hampshire twice (17 hours the first time, 15 the second). No matter the trial or tribulation, he does his best to always continue working towards a goal, giving it space when it needs time, and trusting when to come back and act on it, naturally.

He strongly believes in keeping his mind and body right, which is the reason why all of our events have a focus on nourishment. You will often see him in the kitchen if you’re staying the weekend with us, and everything is always made fresh and with the best intention.

His committed and authentic approach to growth is one of the many reasons why our groups are always so grateful to benefit from Dom’s words of wisdom, peanut butter bars, and grilled veggies.

No matter the details of the emotional, physical or mental transformation, he will always step forward to Stay Humble and Rise Up.
